About the Arose Center

We have forgotten how to live as people and need a place to remember.

A portal.

A temple.

Arose Center.

To remember that:

we are souls having a human experience,

we are not alone and need each other,

we are perfectly imperfect,

we are whole and belong to nature,

we have gifts to share.

We are not machines. We are cyclical beings.

We remember this when:

we circle by the light of the moon as our ancestors did,

we make things with our hands as our ancestors did,

we slow down and rest as our ancestors did.

Let us remember the old ways, together, and make them new!

The Arose Center offers circles, workshops, and retreats for people to remember their humanity, divinity, and connection to the natural world.

Offerings are held in an all-weather canvas bell tent on the land of 22109 Grenadier Drive in Marengo, Illinois.

Breanna Swengel founded the Arose Center in 2025, and has been leading moon gatherings for women since 2021, after a calling to 'follow the rose.' Breanna earned a master's in communication in 2012, and her lifelong healing journey led her to an integrative nutrition and coaching certificate in 2014. She lives in Marengo with her husband John and cat Porky and can often be seen staring at Grandmother Moon.

Roses are symbols of the divine feminine.
